Body & Being

When dark moments hit us, our body and our mind often shut down. It can be hard to open back up. The Open Your Body & Mind technique is a gentle way to help nudge your body and mind open.

When to Open Your Body & Being

Use Open Your Body & Mind when everything shuts down. Your chest and stomach will often feel tight and closed. Sometimes, your arms will cross over your chest or your entire body will want to close on itself. 

How to Open Your Body & Being

1. Imagine small closed circles in front and in back of you. They can be any colour you like or no colour. They can be anywhere.


If it's easier, start by visualizing them either in the front or in the back.

2. Imagine those circles opening and expanding. They can all open at the same time or one at a time. It's up to you.

3. If you like, you can repeat opening the circles, for as long as you need it. You can also focus on areas that feel closed. Do whatever feels best for you in that moment.


Once you're comfortable with this technique, you can even skip step 1 and just start by visualizing circles opening.

Helpful Hints

You don't have to focus too hard on the circles or even know where they are. Just allow them to open.
